Class Specific Ratings for Shadow Blade

Bladesinger wizard: A pretty good option for Bladesingers that want to wield a sword. This spell becomes very much worth it if you're fighting in dim light or one that has resistance to non-magical damage and you don't have a magic weapon. Keep in mind that this requires your concentration, so if you want to wield it while wading into battle, you might want to take War Caster.

Eldritch Knight fighter: * Really good damage but is concentration. If you're fighting in dim light, the advantage you get from shadow blade will likely make it worth it.

Wizard: Typical wizards don’t want any part of melee combat, but this is an amazing option if you are going for a Bladesinger.

Sorcerer: Typical sorcerers don’t want any part of melee combat, but this is an amazing option if you are going for a Sorcadin.

Warlock: Typical warlocks don’t want any part of melee combat and this doesn’t work with Hexblade builds because the Hex Warrior trait so you won’t be able to attack with CHA.

Arcane Trickster rogue: Extra damage of a rare damage type. It also gets automatic advantage in low light, making it a solid way of pumping out Sneak Attacks. This spell is good enough to use every combat if you have the spell slots for it.
