Overall Rating: Sky Blue. This means that misty step is an amazing spell. If you do not take this spell your character would not be optimized.

Overall Notes: Misty step is the staple movement spell for those classes lucky enough to have access to it. It can be cast as a bonus action and avoids opportunity attacks.

Class Specific Ratings for Misty Step

Eldritch Knight fighter: * Cast as a bonus action and gives you awesome mobility and the ability to get out of sticky situations. This is a take for sure.

Warlock: Good option to get out of tough situations, if you’re looking for a late pickup this could be a good choice. Doesn’t scale with levels.

Arcane Trickster rogue: * Every class that can get it’s hands on misty step should strongly consider picking it up. Use it for lining up your Sneak Attacks on the battlefield or to escape a sticky situation.
