Who Is Wasted Wizard?

Wasted Wizard Games specializes in inventive tabletop accessories designed to make running and playing D&D 5E and Magic: The Gathering easier and more engaging.

Their focus is on simple products designed in a way to genuinely improve the tabletop experience, resulting in more streamlined and immersive games.

DnD Condition Rings

This set includes 120 color-coded condition rings covering 30 different conditions, spells, and effects—everything from Hunter’s Mark and Bane to Restrained and Incapacitated. Each condition is included four times, making the set ideal for tracking multiple characters in larger combat encounters.

Each ring is stackable, which solves one of the most annoying problems with traditional status markers: overlapping effects. During a recent session, we had a goblin who was Frightened, Incapacitated, and under the effects of Faerie Fire—the stackable design made it super simple to track, and everyone at the table could glance over and immediately understand the situation.

Color-Coding and Icons

Each condition ring has its own distinct, vibrant color. The bright hues are easy to distinguish, even in low light. Better yet, the condition name and an accompanying icon are printed clearly on all four sides of the ring, so players can identify the effect from any angle.

Grid and Miniature Friendly

Unlike some bulkier status trackers, Wasted Wizard’s condition rings are built with a smaller outer diameter that fits snugly around standard 25mm miniatures. This means you can still position your minis flush against dungeon walls, doors, or other creatures without the rings getting in the way—something we really appreciated when using tight grid-based maps.

A Note on Ring Size

While the rings are perfect for 25mm miniatures, but if your have miniatures with larger or irregular shaped bases, you will have to “hang” the condition markers on your miniatures.

Protective Touches

The set also comes with optional felt pads, which you can affix to the bottom of the rings for added protection. This was a welcome detail that helped keep our tabletop unscratched.

The Verdict

Wasted Wizard’s DnD Condition Rings are the kind of accessory you don’t realize you need until you start using them. After just one session, we found that combat moved more smoothly, players had fewer questions about who was affected by what—and so did I as the DM.

If you’re a Dungeon Master who runs complex encounters—or even a Hunter’s Mark-happy Ranger—this is a smart, affordable upgrade. At $34.99 for 120 rings, it’s well-priced for the value it brings to session prep and gameplay alike.

Highly recommended for DMs who love clarity and players who love color-coded chaos!
