Is Fly Good?

Overall Rating: Blue. This means that fly is a great spell and you should strongly consider this spell for your character.

Overall Notes: Extremely useful movement option. Being able to fly opens up a whole new world and can overcome many obstacles. Be cautious about the concentration component when flying to lofty heights.

Class Specific Ratings for Fly

Eldritch Knight fighter: * This is a great pick up at 14th level when you can choose a spell from any school of magic. Having the flight ability gives you tons of mobility and advantage over grounded opponents. However, this is likely more effective if you're going for a ranged build than a melee/tank build.

Arcane Trickster rogue: * Lots of utility both in and out of combat. Rogues can often find creative ways to make Fly powerful.
