Is Greater Invisibility Good?
Overall Rating: Blue. This means that greater invisibility is a great spell and you should strongly consider this spell for your character.
Overall Notes: Being able to attack or cast spells while invisible is a huge upgrade from regular invisibility. Give it to a melee party member and watch them get advantage on every attack and disadvantage on attacks against them, bonus points if it’s a paladin or rogue for extra crit + Divine Smite / Sneak Attack potential.
Class Specific Ratings for Greater Invisibility
Eldritch Knight fighter: * Really good spell to get in and do a lot of damage because you have advantage on your attacks. One downside is that, as a fighter, you are supposed to be taking damage off your party members. You can’t exactly do that if you’re invisible.
Arcane Trickster rogue: The best buff a rogue can ask for. Attacking won’t break your invisibility, unlike its weaker counterpart. This is a must-have for all Arcane Trickster builds.
